Where Does The Time Go...

So last weekend Mike moved off Tystie after two years. I couldn't even begin to count the number of nights I've spent over there, in a pungent haze, watching movies, listening to music (some of it his own) and indulging in the ancient lost art of conversation. Grand days that have shaped the way I am now, the way I see the world, the life I want to live. And times during which I made a great friend. Or as Mike would put it, my brother from a different mother!

Boats are very personal spaces. They become a part of us. Chuffy certainly reflects the way I am; you might say at the moment a work in progress but more of that later. So it was sad to see him move, sad to say goodbye to a home that has over time stimulated and comforted me. OK, so he's only moved across the way to Mo's boat, but that too is another story.

I know it's a flurry of posts today, the past few weeks have been really busy. Really busy. It's been good to have some quiet time alone finally.
